Please Don't

I try to respect other people's schedules in my life. I plan my life around my mom's many appointments. I am the appointment-maker in my family, and I enjoy doing it. I don't mind driving them wherever they need to go and either sitting in quietly or waiting outside. I enjoy going places and doing things. Don't be fooled though...I hate last-minute additions, or when people expect me to do things. It throws me off. I need a good 2 hours notice to prepare for events, and I'd really prefer that I was warned the night before.  Just because I said I'd pick you up when your car gets fixed doesn't mean I'll take you grocery shopping too. It requires a different mindset  on my part, and I resent the assumption that I'll take you wherever you want to go. Then again, just because you asked me at the last minute and I said "okay" doesn't mean that I don't resent the request, Most times, I'm too polite to refuse you, even if it pisses me off. It's easier to keep peace and just do whatever was requested.  Just know that I keep track of those things and I know when it's a mistake or purposeful on your part. I need to stop writing now. I'm going to take someone on a long set of errands, including moving their furniture. Gee, I thought we were just going to the dentist....
