The Show Must Go On Part 2

Just 6 days short of a year since my last post, and, again, it's about muddling through. Oh, December, why do you hate me so?

Imagine my surprise seeing the title I was going to write for today already here. I honestly began to worry that I had started sleep-writing. Do you have any idea how unnerving that was for me? Oh well, I've calmed down now.

This is NOT a pity party. No, it's more that 2018 has been filled with changes galore, most of them happy and wonderful. In January I ended a toxic relationship that was suffocating me, and, fortunately, the person made it easy by betraying my trust and turning it around on me. Sure, I cried for a week straight (more than when my mother died nearly 6 years ago, but understand that I was numb and went straight into survival mode)  It actually opened me to loving myself more, and taking better care of myself. I've made new friends and I have what my psychiatrist calls "A great support system."

I am loved and valued as a person, and, other than some really good reasons, I'm very happy. Or, put better, my personal relationships are doing well, and I have a Peace of Mind that I haven't had in a long time.  The SAD is just a part of being me.

I have had some wonderful adventures, and I even got to MS to visit my FIL and meet his (not-so) new wife of almost 2 years. Even better, I got to see my sister that I haven't seen since Mom died (coming up on 6 years) I was genuinely happy to see her, and considering some recent changes, I may never get to MS again, so I am grateful for the time we had.

So... changes... long story short, it looks like my husband has prostate cancer, and that it might be advanced. A biopsy is scheduled for January 7th. I'm considering making a new blog to cover it, simply because it would be good to have a dedicated space for it. It's so weird. I actually started this blog because of my mother's breast cancer.

When Jon had his ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) I kept a private journal, but I think I covered some of it here and elsewhere. Anyway, I have plenty to say about this, but not here, not now.

  1. Let's not refer it to "advanced" ... or really, anything at all, until we know more, in January, please
