I'm
taking those words from the traditional wedding ceremony. Saturday will be 6
weeks since I married Shilo. It was a beautiful ceremony, and his parents seem
to really like me.
Stitch
moved in our new home around the 9th of September, and Shilo and I had our
first night in the new house on October 1st. Things aren't perfect, the house
is a "fixer-upper," mostly in need of paint inside, and a good
scrubbing. Unfortunately, my SAD is in full force (like it is most Octobers)
and my decline in health (remember those "wacky" blood test results?
It's the beginning stages of liver failure) I also received my inheritance, so
that is how I managed the down payment on the house. I received a lot less than
I first imagined I would (not complaining, though) but it was enough to pay off
my credit card bills in addition to the down payment, so I'm happy.
Health
wise, things are not good. When I saw my new doctor today (courtesy of Shilo's coverage,
because I lost ALL coverage on August 1st) my diagnoses was HYPERLIPIDEMIA,
HYPERTENSION, ASTHMA, OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA, SEIZURES, LIVER DISEASE (going
into failure) and PREDIABETES, plus my mental health issues (SAD and PTSD). The
first thing he announced is that I don't have prediabetes. I was ecstatic,
until he said "You have diabetes." Well, I'm not exactly thrilled,
but I am glad that he has to take care of ALL my pre-existing conditions, or
I'd be dead pretty soon without my heart meds. My blood pressure? 174/108.
The other good news? I'm down to 205! I've lost 20 pounds since December! Looks like I'm down to what I weighed before mom's breast cancer was discovered. I have quite a few more changes to go through, but I also think k it will all work out.
