"You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family" - Unknown
I Love my family, all of them, up to and including the ones who would rather deny my existence than accept me as I am. Liking the more annoying ones is difficult, but I do my best to be kind to them. The way I see it, one day God will ask us why we treated our own blood poorly, and I plan on Him skipping that question with me. No, I'm not perfect, but I do my very best. I didn't choose them, but it's wrong to deny someones existence or speak poorly of them to others. I was just recently accused of "hating" a family member. Fortunately, my dear mother, who knows my philosophy, was quick to point out that I don't "hate" the mentioned family member, nor any other family member. I do dislike how this person treats me, but I try my very best to be nice and pleasant to this person. Everyone needs the occasional scapegoat, and if I happen to be hers, so be it. She will have to answer for it, not me. My parents taught me to not be spiteful towards people, and it hurts when people are spiteful towards me, but I'm blessed to have people in my life who are kind and supportive.
I've admitted this many times before: I have faults, lots of them. I'm not very good at remembering things and I'm a bit wacky, even strange. I don't follow the beat of other drums. I do things my way. I try to walk away when I'm angry. I dislike confrontations. I cry when I'm happy, sad, confused and frustrated. I don't handle stress and changes very well. But I am Loyal, and you couldn't ask for a better friend. I even make a point to only say nice things about people who I feel have wronged me to others, because I feel everyone should make their own decisions about people, and I like it when I'm falsely accused of saying not nice things about others, because I have witnesses to prove otherwise.
Welcome! I live in a world where nothing seems organized to anyone but me. I'm constantly thinking. Even when my life is in an upheaval, I know where my keys are, unless you move them... I can't remember names or words for things, so I use similar words (Kitchen = Garage) I call very few people "friend" It's a title you earn. I don't use it loosely.Don't like my thoughts?
