Yes, I've been gone a long while now. I made it through losing Peter Pan to graduation well. His replacement is at a different place, so I actually feel more comfortable there, and I feel things are going rather smoothly. I've recently developed a health issue that has both me and my doctor (M.D.) stumped, but so far, I feel pretty good physically. It's just the blood test results that are wacky.
I'm still taking that medication that I allowed myself to stare at for awhile, and it looks like my SAD has arrived a bit early this year. I'm keeping my head up, and above water thanks to the medication and a little help from my friends. Speaking of friends, the new ones I made earlier this year have had a HUGE impact on me, more than I thought. I go out and spend time with them at least once a month on average, and I'm having fun doing it! This year has been much more eventful than I ever could have imagined. I'm glad I stepped away from my comfort zone a little.
I've made two plane trips this year: One to Ohio for the annual convention I go to and one to Pennsylvania for a reception. I did the Ohio trip alone, but on tranquilizers (Thank goodness for wheelchair escort!) and the Pennsylvania trip with my friend "D." Now that trip was very eventful, but I'm not allowed to say anything more about it, not just yet. Only a few very close friends know about it, and only 2 of them actually are "involved" in some way. Even my mom doesn't know! I've hinted, but nothing else.
I now have two very special people in my life that I Love and Trust besides Stitch. The "Best" thing, as far as I'm concerned, is that they all get along well, and we sometimes go places and do things as a "Family" and we are a family. I'm very happy and pleased with this situation, and, because it came about the way it did, I'm surrounded by people who care for me and allow me to feel Loved and Protected.
I guess you could say things are okay for me right now because even though my SAD is in full force, I do have a much better support system now than I did before, and I have quite a few good things to look forward to.
Welcome! I live in a world where nothing seems organized to anyone but me. I'm constantly thinking. Even when my life is in an upheaval, I know where my keys are, unless you move them... I can't remember names or words for things, so I use similar words (Kitchen = Garage) I call very few people "friend" It's a title you earn. I don't use it loosely.Don't like my thoughts? Click the white"x"in the little red box and it'll go away. Still here? Enjoy the ride!
